Ditto on what Charlie says.  That happens a lot in my neck of the woods in regards to storage bins.  A friend of mine ended up with a very clean four speed hotrod engined ’57 scrub two door hardtop that was essentially left (abandoned) in a storage bin.  With the bill of sale from the storage company, he had no problem in getting a new title after a vin # search was performed insuring the vehicle was neither stolen or had a lien again it.  He wasn’t a scrub guy but this was just too good a deal to pass up.

The storage company can own them if they've been abandoned. Around here, one can claim ownership of an abandoned vehicle after a year. An attempt does have to be made to contact the owner before the process is finished, though. I agree it is fishy but you never know. Could be a case of husband passed away, wife doesn't give a damn about his things and stopped paying the storage fee.

Yes, sounds to me like a late April fools joke! And even if the cars exist, how could they auction off cars they don't own, when there's no signed transfer papers?...

I agree with Dan.  I can't imagine anyone "forgetting" they had 13 early Birds stored and just letting them go at auction, sight unseen.

Sounds a bit fishy to me. I would be cautious.

Found the following on another forum.

TC

We just purchased a site unseen storage facility. To our luck one of the shops had 13 T-Birds from 55, 56, 57 all convertible and in great condition as well as a huge array of parts. We will be pricing out the cars later, but for now we have tons of parts. If you are looking for a hard to find part I bet we have it. You can email me at thaddeus333@hotmail.com with the part you are looking for and I will get back to you with availability and price. If I have posted this listing in the wrong spot please tell me where it would be more appropriate.
