As some of you folks may know,a while back I acquired an original 1957 Phase 1 blower camshaft .It is Ford part # B7A-6250-C and brand new in the tube.

It was sent to Isky camshafts for reverse engineering thru use of a "cam doctor" analysis device and so that I could have them reproduced.

Its been a long drawn out journey but they have finally arrived and are in my hands.

I have 4 of the blower cams and also 4 of the early style E2 grind availiable.

Thought I would offer them to the group here first.

Cash/check discounted price of $199.00 each-shipping is additional.

Credit card sales are not subject to the discount price.

I found that there are 2 distinctly different blower cams. One I found had the same specs listed in the Ford F Code manual. Approx 232 @ .050" ground on 109 lobe centers as I recall. The other was the over the counter cam and was 226 @ .050 ground on 112 centers.

The "blower cam" specs that I have availiable are

Cam lift-.290

Valve Lift-.446 (using rocker ratio of 1.54)

Lobe center-110 degree

Valve sequences of

 intake opening-35 BTDC/intake closing 75 ABDC

exhaust opening 75 BBDC/exhaust closing 35 ATDC

Duration-290 degrees with an overlap of 70 degrees

This is a recreation of the optional Phase 1 hi preformance blower cam in which Ford speced horsepower ratings of 300 in the supercharged engine (mildly rated) and 285 H.P. for the dual quad engines.

There is a tamer Phase 2 version Blower cam that went into production later on.Mine is the original Bad MoFo(rd)

_________________________________________________________________

The E2 camshaft specs for the units availiable are

Cam lift-.294

Valve Lift-.453 (using rocker ratio of 1.54)

Lobe center-113 degree

Valve sequences of

 intake opening-15.5 BTDC/intake closing 61.5 ABDC

exhaust opening 61.5 BBDC/exhaust closing 15.5 ATDC

Duration - 257 degrees with an overlap of 31 degrees

This is the original version E2 grind. There were subsiquent version called E2 but had different specs.

It is a small bit different from the 1956 published specs as the masters wear pattern have changed. This is the same camshaft used in the 1956 Mercury M 260 Race Kit Cool

Isky supplied this cam to Edlebrock who cast the dual quad manifold included in the package of the M 260 Kit for Mercury in 1956.

There has always been so much discussion regarding the use of this cam in Y block circles that I thought it would be benificial to have a few of these made availiable also.

Get em while there availiable.  w00t

Did Isky say what lifters to use with the cams? With all the talk about cams and lifters wearing out sure want to mate them up correctly.

The warranty provided by Isky is a two year warranty against excessive lobe wear from date of purchase.

The warranty is valid ONLY if a compleat Iskenderian Assembly Kit has been installed with and at the same time of the camshaft installation, and if the installation instructions are followed according to those supplied with Cam and Kit.

The compleat warranty information is in the package along with a container of assembly lube.

I am only offering the camshafts.I dont think Isky is looking to sell "junk".But as stated they do require the whole assembly kit to be installed to provide a warranty on the camshaft.

It is an American made product proudly stated on a sticker on the box.

It shouts 100% made in USA of exclusivly American materials-Absolutly NO foreign or third world country labor or componets in manufactoring or packaging.

I"m stickin one in my engine Smile

If warranty issues are of a concern ,the associated parts necessary to honor the warranty would need to be purchased directly from Isky.

Personally ,I feel that any good quality machine shop can do this job without any problems regarding a warranty.
