You need to be a little more specific on the distributor. I would look for a 1959 or later distributor. Easier to get replacement vacuum cannister and steel centrifugal weights. The 57-58 weights are die cast and fall apart, the vacuum cannisters are hard to find and they usually have too much centrifugal advance for most applications.

I'd listen to this guy.. As far as Y's go he's a god.. if you decide to go with a later one i may be getting an extra one soon so i'll let you know..

If your 57 F-100 is the same as mine, it came with the loadomatic and 3 bolt carb like the 55-56 cars. The 59 dist will not work with this combo unless you change to later model manifold and 4 bolt carb.

Helps to include in your post where you are located.  You may be next door to what you need that can be picked up without the hassle of shipping and not even realize it.  I’ll suggest that adding your area to your signature resolves having to remember to post that particular piece of information.
