Gentlemen

Can someone tell me how much additional material needs to be drilled to sink the main cap bolts deeper.

I have heard of this being done to prevent the webbing from cracking.

Also what did you use for new main bolts, regular grade 8?

Thanks,Oldmics

From J. Mummert's YBM article:

Use 27/64" bit. Overall depth 1.40"-1.45" (MAX!). ARP bolts (studs for racing). Thread tap: 1/2"-13 t.p.i.
