It's unfortunate that they didn't put you & your truck on. IMHO would have been MUCH more interesting than the hydrogen streamliner that wouldn't run. Kind of shows they missed the point they were trying to capture about the history of Speedweek.

I finally got to see the show over Christmas, too much drama, not enough salt. Very Hollywood. Even my Brother-in-law, who is a vidiographer, thought they repeated a lot. I think I got him interested in coming to El Mirage and Bonnaville this year to make his own little production.

geeeze...lighten up boys
me thinks the program was very well done
lots of helicopter, in the tower and down the track footage
saw a couple of hot rods toolin' around and
thought the featured entries were interesting
especially the fastest girl on two wheels (and I've known a few of those). Overall, it gave me a good feel for what speed week is all about
sure we know it the backyard projects that are the most fun
and to be able to take it to Bonneville (all welcome) and run it in a safe environment is truly something worth doin'
giddy up

Sorry to hear that Charlie, I was really looking forward to see something interesting on TV for a change. I guess it like Daniel says, the money gets the coverage. We all know who works the hardest for their achievements.

Well..................no one could be more disappointed than we were. I hope we didn't waste your evening, at least you can see what we do. We might have had a better chance, but we were only there the first two days of the seven day event. We just set our record and had to head out to the Y-Block Shootout to make it on time. You cannot blame the sponsor pleasing channel, they had to follow the high profile people. With over 500 entries, there were probably lots more who were down about not being chosen or shown, but with a 15 minute interview and photo shoot, you would have thought.......something! Oh well, you cannot have everything. 2008 was one of the most fantastic years we could have ever hoped for and...................we will be back!

Too bad. Just got done with the Discovery Channel special on Bonneville. You had to either have a vehicle with which you spent half a million or more, or be a gorgeous model on a motorcycle evidently. No time for the real Bonneville that made the event what it has always been known for. Where were the rods? Where were the modified T's? Then again, it is the Discovery Channel - I don't really agree with much of their programming anyway. Charlie - we still appreciate your effort and your spirit! Long live the Y!
