Hey Guys, Charlie will be running the "Flying Yellow Brick" at El Mirage dry lake one last time this year, if you're in the area come out and say "Hi" Say prayer for Him, that he betters his record.

Well, WE made it back from El Mirage. Charlie said the truck ran its best, but we had a head wind and the truck dosen't handle the wind well. So after one run we were ready to head home, the wind was just getting worse. Now we have all winter to get ready for the next meet in May. Here are a few pics, note the flag in the background on the first one.

The "Thunderbird Lookin' Thingie" is a concept car called "Thunderflite" Google it and you can read the story. Here's the link; http://thunderflite.com/The%20Legend%20of%20ThunderFlite.htm

I tried to google it and it didn't show? Anyway I'm not a huge fan of that year bird but I dig the concept car idea a lot. It's like a flashback to "the 1950's Cars of the future" Hey, weren't we supposed to be riding around in personal jetpacks by now or a monorail system?

Actually the "Batmobile" was a Lincoln concept car from the 50s. It was in some movie with Glen Ford.
