Great photos! The Black T. Bird, twice pictured, was driven by Chuck Daigh. He was recently reported to have passed away. The photo of the two racing 56 Ford Sunliners, is of Curtis Turner in #26 & Joe Weatherly in #12. For those not familiar with the convertible division (1956-59) of NASCAR, Turner won a then record 22 races in 1956. Although he also had the highest $ winnings, somehow with the convoluted points system, he lost the drivers championship, to a three race winner, driving a Chebie! Only in NASCAR could that happen! If you look closely at the hoods of the 2 cars you will note the 230 HP rating. According to Bruce Young (at YBM) this was because early in the season, the cars ran dual 4 Barrel 292s, not 312s..

Hollow Head (10/15/2008)
Ted, I haven't got any e-mail from you. No PM or else. But, anyway, this problem started when Jim made this new layout to these sites. I have always done that linking the same way and it works on other sites. And it worked here too. I have wondered that miracle too. Maybe I'm on Jim's Black List or something . I'll try to do that your way. Let's see... http://koti.msoynet.com/skokko/mainpage.htm or http://koti.msoynet.com/skokko/mainpage.htm Seppo. I had pretty much figured that my email to you didn’t go through when I didn’t get a response back even though I didn’t get an error message upon sending it. From some of the comments in the posts, there are several (if not all) other members of this site having difficulty with the emails and PM’s of which I also haven’t received any PM’s myself in a good while now. I’ve added both the linking of posts and email problems to the list of JavaScript errors that keep cropping up. At least I can still go back into your posts through the edit mode and add the needed ‘space’ behind the link at which point it shows up as clickable and working on my end. Thanks for at least giving it a whirl though.

Nice shots! Make sure you click on the link at the bottom to go to the next page (103). There's a couple shots of Jerry's SR-57.

Seppo. I’ve probably got the same browser setup as The Duck Guy and your particular links do not work without cut and pasting them into the browser. If you’ll add a space after pasting in the link and before doing a hard return, that will allow the links to work with a simple click to the link. Sent you an email but not sure if it went through or not as I didn't get a reply.
