I'm pretty sure the ones from the T-birds wouldn't work.  I remember somewhere on this blog that someone tried to install one and it didn't fit.  Thanks anyway.

Sorry Guys, but I started a new job 5 Jan (same one I retired from 3 yrs ago) and have been out of town for a week. Mike, I don't have any 55 parts, sorry. Charlie, I have several gear type pumps in all conditions. I have a couple of the rotor  pumps, but I have been hanging on to them thinking that I might run across a deal on rebuild kits.

There are a couple ads on Fordbarn.com, late V8 swap, guys parting '55 Fords.  Also, Dan Jessop on this site has a '55 parts car, maybe he can help.

Just saw this post, and would like to chime in. Yes, I do have a parts car, but...all steering wheels I have are broken at the hub or have cracks all the way around. I have repaired these before with PC7 epoxy - it does work well. Go easy with the DREMEL tool and you will get good results.

I will not have another parts car until early March, and I really did not get a good look at the steering wheel. (the car is another state away)

Ebay does have good finds from time to time. However, you can expect to pay top dollar for a restored wheel or for a wheel that has no hub/center cracks.

Glen: You could also run an ad in Y-Block Magazine quite reasonably and avoid the hassle of e bay. Ads start at $3.00 min or .10c/ word. It's unlikely you will run into rounders there..

Paul, I retired from a pressure cooker job back in 06 to work on my projects, the only problem is they want let me stay retired. I worked all last year as a DOD contractor and  I just let them talk me into coming back as a emergency hire for a year in the same pressure cooker job I retired from. I just threw this out here in case someone on the site needed something and were not in a big hurry for it. Maybe next year I'll have time to sort everthing out and decide what I want to keep and what I need to let go off. I promise come Jan 2010 I'm retiring for good.

Glen: Unfortunately, it sounds like there are many people going out of work all over N. America. If you like, maybe someone will offer to take over the job before 2010...

Y-Guy Glen:      I liked Jerry's thoughts, on this period, in our lives,

that he had in YBM a few issue's back...quote "you only make

coming into turn four. Bottom line: the clock is ticking and if you

want to do something, get going."
