This is an oddball heavy duty distributor that apparently fits the 292 HD larger F series commercial trucks. It has a male tang on the bottom of the shaft for the oil pump drive , a larger distributor gear and the body of the distributor where it registers in the block is larger than the passenger car distributors .

The posted page from the truck MPC shows this distributor will fit only the 401, 477 and 534 cid hd truck engines and not a Ford Y-block. I'll try to post a couple pics of the one from my parts/core box. It is truly an addball distributor....
