I am at the last step in dis-assembling my 292. The Crankshaft. The Rods are marked from Factory. Any easy way to mark the Main Caps so I don't mix them up? Suggestions? I don't have access to a Stamp Set.

Mark them with a metal punch (I like the spring loaded type)

CAN PUT SMALL NICKS IN LEADING EDGE WITH A FILE, SHOWS DIRECTION AND IF IT BOTHERS YOU CAN BE REMOVED JUST AS EASILY WITH THE SAME FILE GIVING A NICE CONTOURED THE EDGE
