Me, too, but there was a 55 Tbird owner who brought his car to Lodi, California's Downtown Car Show every year; he had a SOHC 427 under the hood. New engines were/are still available at about $50,000 a pop. The guy must have had $150,000 tied up in the car; the only thing that was original was the body. One of these days, my 55 will be on display, but I can't compete on that level; I'll have to settle for a 318 stroker 292.
