Hi all, mate has a '60 F100 with six cylinder and has a 292 with Fordomatic (bad knees) to install, does anyone have pics and any info on this swap? In Australia, '60 pickups are pretty rare, so any help will be much appreciated. Thanks, Al.

A couple of general  items.  The front cover for a truck is different from the car and somewhat different from a Tbird but the Tbird may work (no experience).  The engine in a truck has a front mount off the front cover. The rear mount is on the bellhousing for a truck (ears off the bellhousing... If your mate is using parts out of a car , the car had side engine  mounts and a mount on the trans.  That is the limit of my knowledge regarding  the engine mounting in a truck.

I used to have a US 1960 F100 with a 292 and a Fordomatic and it had 3.70 gears, for whatever that's worth...I would think lower gears would be more dependent on whether it was a 6 or 8 cylinder, also.
