Buy an original canister oil filter. The gasket that comes with the filter is a perfect fit for the spin-on adapter.

Thanks guys, anyone know what the torque should be on that adapter?

The nut holding the adapter in place bottoms out.  I’m guessing 100 lb/ft torque would be adequate but in taking some of those off of blocks, you would think they were much tighter than that.  Just make sure that the adapter plate hole in the center is at least 1/16” higher than the outside/bottom surface when the plate is sitting on a flat surface.
