ive had a couple of these 239 ebu engines given to me in the last few years.nobody around here wants them so they go for scrap.the truck 239 which was used from late 54 and 55ebv had the small cam and i might hang onto one of them.you could bore .125 with a 3.3 crank and instant 272.but the ebu with the big cam i dont want.

Maybe one better.  A guy on another site with  56 Thunderbird was going to redo his engine and found out it was a 54 239

a fellow wanted me to have a look at his 56 half ton 272 which had a broken piston.when i got it out it was a ebu 239.i couldnt believe anyone would put that in a newer truck.it had the 56 timing cover so was using the new fuel and water pump.i wasnt sure everthing would line up with this block but it had been on for years.its an easy way to fix the problem of getting a fuel or water pump for these engines.
