I have a 292 in my 55 Crown and and sets on 215X70X15 tires.  Would like to fine new front coils springs for her.  Looking for best place to find springs and what information do it need in my search?  Presently from the ground to bottom center of fender measures at 24 inches.  I know the trend is to do low but it seems to low for me, but rides and handles good. I really do not know what the stock height should be, but I like to bring it up. Please help with your input.

I’ll 2nd Dobie on Eaton Detroit. Your manual should give instructions on where to measure ride height and the +/- tolerances.

Does your car sit low front & rear, or just the front? If it's considerably lower in front than stock, your springs might have been cut, or the stock springs might have been replaced with Ford Aerostar springs. I purchased leaf springs from General Spring in Kansas. I don't know if they have coils.

Melly, contact the Crown Vic Association (CVA). There should be someone who can tell you what the stock ride height should be for your 55.
