There is a shop in Connecticut that relines old shoes.  They can even give you a  lining that is better in stopping.

The RS 74s are the ones all the stores are coming up with as not available.  The other numbers are possible choices for substitutes   For instance, the 60s Ford truck shoes would have holes in the web to accomodate self adjusters, but wouldn't interfere with the installation on your Lincoln.  Some of the GM shoes may have extra holes also.

I looked at Napa for rs74, which you showed would be for 54 Lincoln and they couldn't find it. Am I using the wrong numbers ? I'll probably go with Kanter for their shoes. They're reputable and free shipping

Maybe I can help with your brake shoe problem.  First, let me say that on my '53 Ford F350, I found some Oldsmobile brakes that matched the Bendix design of the Ford brakes, and fit and work perfectly.  However my brakes are 11 inch instead of 12 as your Lincoln.

Now, here is a list of 12 x 2 1/2 brakes by Bendix I find in my old NAPA parts book.  The 2 or3 digit number is the rebuilders number, preceed that  number by RS for riveted linings, B for bonded.  
305R; '60-'68 Ford F-250 2 WD, front.
74; '54-'57 Lincoln
65; '58-'60 Buick Electra
65 and 69A and127; '52-'59Cadillac Series 62, '58 Pontiac with HD axle
419; '65-70 scrub truck   C20 with leaf springs
357R: '71-74 IHC Series 1210

All are Bendix design they will have minor differences in construction.  Hope  this helps.

Yes. They seem to be the same except for the width. Front are wider by maybe 1/2"

Front shoe width should be 2 1/2".  Rear shoe width 2".

Did miss something? These are the shoes you need for $70 from a well known old car parts shop. 
Front and rear shoes appear to be 12" in diameter. You would still need to measure the shoe width as they may vary.

I believe I am a member. I've been mostly on the y block forum since I am mostly doing engine work now plus there doesn't seem to be a lot of old Lincoln people on this or hamb. Kinda a specialty vehicle. Thought I might get some info on some other sites out there that might carry parts for it.
One of the shoes I took off is almost like new, lining remaining I mean. The other was almost gone. Seems like the brakes were out of adjustment. If they were both almost full, I would look into cleaning them up and roughing them up to reuse them, but... Twasn't to be.

I don’t know about AZ, but up here relining shoes is a truck shop deal. Or maybe a truck place that does a lot of motor home work. There’s still some older units out there with drums in the real heavy stuff.

You might try posting that on the HAMB, just a “54 Lincoln reline brake shoes”. There’s some members in that area that might post an answer. You a member there?
