Bought a new set of 5 leaf spring from General Spring neay KC, KS. Do i leave the insulators on or off.
I left them off of my 63 Galaxie after welding a very thick washer in the housing pad to center the spring. Don’t notice and noise or anything. It sits about 3/4” higher without them.
I am going to install a 57 housing from a fairlane. One housing has the big hole like an insulator pad would use and the othe 57 housing I have just has a small hole.
What is everyone doing? Leave the rubber pads in or modify the housing hole and get rid of the pads. At least on my end, I do not have to modify. I just decide which housing to use.
