Hi all,

I’m in need of a fuel tank sending unit for my ‘56 Parklane. The only vendor I can find that specifies their sending unit is for wagons is Kanter who I haven’t heard of. My parts catalog seems to imply that the wagon unit is the same as that for the cars, but the float and float rod may be different. Any idea if a car sending unit can be used with some adjustment or modification? Does anyone have experience with Kanter, or a suggestion on vendor to check? I’ve checked all of the usual suspects - Carpenter, Mac’s, Tee-bird, Larry’s, Eckler’s…

Kanter has been around for years.  Supplies a lot of parts for a lot of different makes, including Tbirds.  No problem buying from them as far as I know.  I have bought a few parts from them. no problems

I got my fuel tank sending unit for my 56 Mercury Montclair from Tank's, they are in Monticello, Iowa. They answered all my questions about it and sent me the one that works. It was an exact match to the one I removed. I have had no problem with it and I would certainly order from them again.
