Was the original '55 Ford car y-block engine front steady rest painted black or Ford red?

My '55 Thunderbird's front mount was red with the rubber adapter plate black, and the side steady rest brackets are black. Joe-JDC

Car mount is somewhat different than car ['55 Crown] - sidemounts???; so... need to get definitive info. for car.

I don’t know if it is the same but the 56 I bought was a body off frame restoration that followed all the specs and it was black. I owned my fathers 55 convertible which he bought new and it was not red when I owned it. He had the original engine rebuilt in 1962 but I doubt it was repainted.
