My Hollander 25th edition  (1959) says that that 56 Ford and Mercury share the same front end assemblies.

The power steering cylinder leaks and needs new seal. Sounds like an easy repair. I can not find a power steering cylinder seal kit for 56 Mercury Montclair. I find seal kits for Ford but when I asked the seller if it would also fit the Mercury, he said no. Can anyone tell me if the power steering cylinder is different on the Ford compared to the Mercury. Now I am hesitant to buy any that say for "Ford and will fit Mercury".  I would certainly appreciate any tips/comments.
