Does anyone know who sells patches for off white canvas convertible tops. Thanks for any help. Jerry

I had a pretty ratty soft top for my 55 bird. Due to not paying attention I let the sleeve come off the seat motor, and the jack screw wore a hole in the top. I bought a “top repair kit” from either JC Whitney or Amazon. It made a decent mechanical repair, but I couldn’t match the color very well. But it kept the water out, and that top was a come home emergency top, and really old.

If the top had been good, I’d have gone to a shop and seen what they could do.

If you go to a car shows or are a club member ask around for a lead on an automotive interior (upholstery) shop. I had a local shop glue a nice looking piece of material to the inside of mine on both sides to keep the top from being pinched or chafed when I lower the top to the deck. Can’t even notice it.
