i watched the 58 race as well.turner and weatherly were in first and second place but were unable to finish with the new 352.

If you have nothing to do for about 30 minutes, on You Tube is color coverage of the 1956 race. Even tho  the 56 Ford did not sit on the pole by 4 miles an hour the show put on by Marvin Paunch and CurtisTurner in their Fords is great to watch. If the cars were truly even it appears the top on a Victoria does make a difference at speed. 70 cars started and I believe the hardest thing would have been scoring and counting laps…
