The bracket on my '56 has been broken, fixed, and broken again.  I think the '56 is unique, maybe with the '55.  Pictures attachedhttp://forums.y-blocksforever.com/uploads/images/daf8037c-d43d-4562-8a30-80e8.jpg

Carl,

That would be great if you have one.  We have been thinking we would have to fabricate one from scratch...

Jack   I do not have the bracket you are looking for.I have power steering on my 56 crown vic and have put 35 thousand miles on it without that bracket.I have never had any problem with the pump or anything else moving.Just my experience

For he who asked, it is a Crown Vic..

FYI...we have looked at it and it doesn't appear to be a big problem to weld the fracture and add reinforcement just to be safe..  Thanks guys..

that bracket and a similar one was used on the passenger car and Thunderbird during that era.  The Passenger car is different from the Thunderbird which was used from 1955-57  The passenger car is the same for 55-56 and the 57 had a different one.  The Ford part number for the 1955-56 passenger cars with a V8 is B5A 3562-A, the Thunderbird from 1955-57 is B5S 3562-B and the passenger car with V8 for 1957 uses B7A 3562-A   I hope this helps you in your search.  FYI, I have seen lots of cars that are missing these and they work fine.  I am not saying that Ford didn't put them on for a reason, but not having one does not appear to be critical.  Dan
