About ten years ago I purchased a 1957 Ford Custom from Randy Conner in Wisconsin.  I flew into Minneapolis and drove out to his property.  Randy lived on a large track of land on a lake.  When I drove down the road to his home, both sides of the road were covered with 1957 Fords.  Randy had more 1957 Fords than anyone I had ever seen then or since.  I recently heard that Randy has passed away.  Does anyone know if this is true?  What happened to all those old Fords?

Here’s some information posted earlier on this site regarding Randy’s passing.

There were also some good write ups regarding Randy's passing in The Y-Block Magazine.  Someone else will have to give details regarding what is happening with the cars.

Thanks for the info.  Randy had accumulated a treasure trove of 57 Ford cars and parts.   I would hate to see them go to the crusher.  We had a similar situation here in Orlando.  A local man had five acres of 50s Fords.  When he passed, his family took trailer loads of Y-Block engines and transmissions to the land fill.

Phil, I finally found an article I was looking for when you first posted this thread.  It was in the Sept/Oct issue of Y Block magazine as reported by Bob Martin.  It was from Randy's widow, Midge.  She said she and their son Reid were finally dealing with Randy's 173 cars and piles of parts.  They are including them in their 1957fordparts.com website.  I was fortunate to meet Midge and Randy at one of the early Y-Block races.
