]I finally made it in. Thanks for hooking me up, Ted. Nothing special about me, just your run of the mill North Texas 50s Ford fanatic, the same as everyone else. I have a few neat cars, one or two really decent cars, and hopefully I can contribute as well as learn. I’ve been in this racket for eons, it seems. 56 Meteor 4dr hardtop. Factory 312 car. 56 Crown Vic. Factory Air car. 292 55 F100 Anna, Tx [

Well, we’ll run into each other one of these years, man. I have family in Gloucester, Ma, and get up that way on occasion. Warwick’s not ALL that far away,.. hahaha

56 Meteor 4 Dr. hardtops are rare in Canada, it must be a real novelty in Texas! Great looking car.. I have a 57 Ford 4 Dr hardtop in B.C. Canada & it's somewhat rare. Not as popular as a 2 Dr. hardtop obviously, but with the windows down it it's prettier in profile.. Now, if I could only get rid of some of the rattles...

Just curious. Does the Serial # indicate that it was built with a 312? My understanding is that in Canada a few 312's were used in Station Wagons and the Mercury's were all 312 but Ford Passenger Cars were all 292's. If its a Factory 312 it makes it even more Rare than just the regular 4 Door Hardtop.

Nice car! You mentioned Gloucester, MA. Brought back fond memories! My mother and Grandfather both being painters our family used to vacation there starting in the early 50's. I wonder if Motif #1 still exists? We stayed in cottages on Wonson St. that were built on a pier over the water....Now, where did I park that time machine? lol ErnieL (8/15/2020)
