Wanted: New or used, a "Horn Ring Contact Brush Assembly", found in the base of the steering wheel of 1958 Fords ( and possibly 59s) This is described as a small compression spring with a wire inside & contacts on the ends, c/w an insulator sleeve. It is found under the Horn Ring. The original part # is B8A-13A821-A... I have been unable to get this part anywhere, despite weeks of searching. Oddly, the part that mates to it, the Horn Wire Terminal support & Wire, (a large washer shaped contact piece & wire connector) found under it in the Steering column, is available from several sources, including D.Carpenter, Green Sales, Concours Parts etc.. I purchased a "Brush Assembly" from D. Carpenter for 1962-64 Fords, but it is much different & does not fit.. Note; this part was a complete new design in 1958 & is not found on earlier Fords. Any help appreciated, THANKS- (from near Vancouver B.C.)

Hello Paul,I don't know if you ever did hear back from Special Interest Cars. You might do better calling them.1-905-844-8063.If you can talk to Ray he is the boss and would know much better if he has it than his wife. There are also several dealers on ebay who have many parts but only list a few on ebay. You might try that route also.Regards,Mark

Paul You seem to know about 58 steering units. What do you think about me putting the used 58 steering column into my car. Any help is appreciated before I do the job. Thanks Gord
