It looks like EBay holds the fund until delivery notification. They should release the hold soon. Thank you.

I didn't put a hold on anything. I will check with my son and see if he did. Joe-JDC

When I put my email address on EBay, I was told I may have to pay the EBay fees if I stopped the auction. I received numerous requests to stop the auction. To make it fair for everyone, I set the Buy it Now price at $450 and emailed everyone back. Your bid went through first. The other bidders were not happy. I felt bad, but I could not sell it to everyone. I never stated the manifold was NOS. I said it was in good used condition, which it is. I never looked at the crossover as I never use it. If you wish to return it, please let me know. There are people who want it. If you wish to keep it, please remove the hold on my funds. Thanks.

Yes, condition was the reason I responded to the ad here. I have a 255 intake, already, and it was used in Ted's dyno testing several years ago, and made the most horsepower of all the intakes. I was wanting a second one for a possible dyno shoot-out this fall in NC. Having a second intake that I could port without worrying about making a mistake in porting was my intention. When it was said that it was perfect/NOS, I felt the price was acceptable at $450.00, plus shipping in all my experience has been around $31-35.00 for the Y block intakes. This intake now has a cost factor of nearly $600.00, and not worth that amount to me now as an extra. I cannot expect to recoup all the cost, especially after I port the intake and add more value to it. It is a good intake, just not complete, the exhaust crossover block is missing. I can turn it into a very good intake with some time and effort. The biggest issue I have with the whole transaction, was getting blindsided with HAVING to pay through e-bay, and having to pay state sales tax, plus that huge box was not necessary to ship the little Y manifold. I offered a bank check directly, but was required to pay through pay pal for both, and after paying for the intake and sales tax, I asked to send a check for shipping, was agreed to, and then was told I had to use pay pal. A single bank check through the Y Block classifieds would have been much less cost to me. So, again, lesson learned. Joe-JDC

Not a NOS intake, had tons of soot and corrosion in crossover, rust under bolts that were screwed in exhaust passages, and boltdown clamp areas were marked from being torqued down, sand left over from sandblasting, and two prices marked on bottom and carb pad indicating quick turn around part. Really disappointed after having to pay e-bay state sales tax, and double shipping cost for the intake. Box arrived all broken up and split open. Surprised the intake was still inside. Never again will I buy through e-bay. Joe-JDC
I just read your entire post -
PLEASE tell me my incorrect post did not lead you to purchase the intake on my post description only ...
I could have sworn I read the intake was un-used.

A part should not be on this forum for sale for a stated price, and ask for a pm to then find out it is actually an auction on e-bay item. Then after asking seller to change auction to "buy it now price" and getting it at the buy it now price, they tack on state sales tax. If it is for sale here, it should not be on e-bay at the same time. I have bought several intakes, heads, engines from forum folks, and never had to pay sales tax or expensive shipping. I shipped two Y block intakes to California in separate boxes last month for less than this one box from Florida. Wound up costing nearly $150.00 more than advertised price. Lesson learned, rant over. Joe-JDC

Your blaming the wrong people - it's the seller or the shipping co. you got a bitch with, not ebay.
