I think the generator is off a Willy's Jeep.
GJC on the mounting plate is a Jeep number and 6 11/16 space between mounting plates fits Jeep generator mount spacing . The question is was the Ozzie Jeeps 6 Volt most with GJC mounting plate were converted to 12 volt. Could this be an original early Jeep generator or were Ozzies Jeeps 6 volt?
R on the dataplate indicates 1938 or 1960 10 means October
Here is some more confusion I found this on Ebay It shows box as an universal early 50's Ford, Lincoln Merc
