A Friend has a 56 Victoria with Manual Front Seat. It only has about 4" of Seat Adjustment movement on the Tracks. How much Seat Travel is it supposed to have? What would cause less than full Travel?

I've got the front seat out of my `56 Customline Victoria. It has 3 1/2" inches of travel.
There's a right angle bracket at the front of the track that stops rearward travel.
If this was removed, it would allow for another 1 1/2" of rear travel..
Hope this is of some help ~ Stiggy..
