It is.  I got a defective tunnel ram from John M, and cut the plenum off, milled it flat, and fit a 289 Weiand Tunnel Ram top to the Mummert.  I had spacers CNC'd to give me more plenum volume, but have since decided it is not needed, and have removed the spacer.  Hopefully I will be able to get the 375 Y back on the dyno sometime soon, and give it a workout.  It was used on the 2018 EMC entry that placed second in the Vintage Class.  Joe-JDChttp://forums.y-blocksforever.com/uploads/images/2a14b63c-c9de-484a-aac3-2228.jpg

Phil.  It would LooK awesome, BUT I doubt that you would much like your 'Bird's low end performance, throttle response, and drive-ability.

Perhaps installing 4.50 something rear end gears and jacking the idle speed up would make it live-able.  Too, a 5 speed transmission with the right 1st gear would help to make it work-able.

Apologies for being a wet blanket about this particular thought.  THANKS for all the constructive input you've generated on the Y-Blocks Forever Forum this year!

Happy New Year!

It was meant as a joke.  I think funny thoughts.  Actually, I ran a tunnel ram on the street years ago.  It had two out of the box Holley 600s.  It didn't drive all that bad,  I enjoyed seeing little kids point at the carbs when they pulled up to a light and the smile on the faces of the drivers.  Old hot rods are cool.

I'm into Y-Blocks because they bring back memories, most of them good.   If I had a time machine, I would go back to 1965 with the money I have now. I would march right down to my local Shelby dealer and buy a 1965 GT350 and a 7 liter Cobra.  I could probably buy a supercharged 1957 Fairlane for $1,500?  I would buy my high school buddy's 1957 Custom with the straight front axle and my best friend's 1961 Starliner.  I spent my life recreating those cars.
