Just thought I would pass some info on!!  Just finished putting headers on our 55 Bird--   have Flaming River Rack and Pinion system, with their tilt colmum.  Put on Sanderson's--  They fit with out modifying anything, and really look good.  They fit over the steering col. then turn down . head pipe needs to be made--  but they are on the inside of frame without X member surgery.  All in all very happy with them.   Hope this helps someone!!!     God Bless

Good info for the 'bird guys.

What flaming River kit did you use for the steering?

Thx, TC

You gotta have the right tools and know how to use 'em.

Hi Tom;  Flaming river has a cradle kit for the t-bird, power or standard steering. Also they make a tilt coluum that fits the original wheel or can be ordered with a aftermarket steering wheel!!   Short turning radius but great response,  Hope this helps !!!
