I think the 'donut' is not in its original position as when manufactured, also . . .

Actually what you are seeing is the end of the Redi-sleeve that was put on.  The seal area on the redi-sleeve is good.

Looks like the donut has slipped back. My balancer was just rebuilt and that is what I am using as a comparison.
