On a 1954 Ford car, where does the clutch return spring "bracket" attach? Would the attachment point be the same for the 1955/56 Ford car as well?

I see the bracket with its spring in the picture. What I want to know is, what anchors the bracket or another way of saying it, what is the bracket bolted to ...?

The bracket (7592) attaches to the brake pedal (7519). You will see a pin projecting at the front of the pedal bumper bar-

Thank you all for the input; my question along with other concerns has been answered.

In the Ford parts catalog, one of the diagrams called for a 7/16 nut to retain this bracket (I did not know what this nut went to) and the manual and automatic shift steering gear boxes used different length 7/16 bolts, mounting bolts.

Thank you, Pat in AZ

w00t

Was the discussion regarding the clutch pedal spring or the spring at the clutch fork?

You should have challenged my reading comprehension (or lack thereof) ...

I had done a letter (hand written) to put on the computer that would further clarify the bracket/spring. When I went back to the computer, Cliff had already chimed in. I am very thankful for your response.
