Probably need to measure the main and rod journal size. I wouldn't go more than .030" on either, but let's hear from some others.

If I were looking for a 312 crank, I would want the measurements as Rono mentioned, also before I had it shipped to me, I would want it magnafluxed, which I would pay for.

Montana Ford Man.  John and Rono have both made excellent recommendations.  As an eBay watcher, I've seen several 312 cranks sell for $300 in the last two years.  Keep in mind that the seller had to pay eBay a percentage of the selling price, a percentage of the shipping price (crazy, huh!) and a fee to PayPal for the financial transaction.  Summary - on eBay the seller does not get all of the money you paid for the item.

I've never sold anything on eBay, so I can't tell you how much the overhead expense to the seller is.

Hope this helps!   Smile

thanks for all the replys, I took my crank to a good rebuilder today and he said the journals look like they haven't been turned before.but to clean it up and check for cracks would cost about $125 or more.so I think I will advertise locally. if someone wants it here, maybe they pay shipping and if it checks out they  can just pay me then. maybe trusting someone I don't know is a little old school but anyone who is a yblock fan should be a trustworthy person I would think! if someone out there wants what looks like a good 312 crank, call me and we can talk price. wayne 406 253 0233.
