Hello all! The machine shop's just about done with my son's 312 or should I say 318. 292 block with 312 crank turned to the 292 mains and offset ground to 3.500 stroke with Mummert rods (2" rod journal). Topped with some posted "G" heads 1.94/1.54 stainless valves and a nice bowl job. Ultimately, I'd like to top it with a descent manifold. Anyone have a Mummert or Blue Thunder they want to sell? Thanks for your time!

Check with Mummert, or Ted Eaton.  I just bought both within the last three months.  Joe-JDC

I should probably check with him again. I bought a bunch of stuff from John at the end of April and at that point he said he didn't have any and wasn't sure when he'd get more. He said at least 3 months out.

I have a new Blue Thunder manifold that I bought about 10 years ago that I never installed.  I would sell it for $400.00 plus shipping.  RHill

MattsY.  I have a new Mummert single four barrel aluminum intake manifold purchased from John Mummert which I ended up not installing because the owner decided he wanted heat under the carburetor for Northest Spring and Fall driving.

John's Internet web site price list description:
DP9425-LR  Aluminum Dual Plane Intake Manifold 1-4 barrel.  For vehicles with low hoods.  55-57 Thunderbird     $415.00

Never installed.  New in the box.  Will sell for $400 plus USPS shipping cost.
Contact me at cncbrown2@gmail.com or call me at 315-487-6009

Thanks.

Thank you for the replys! Sorry I didn't respond sooner, but life happens and it's been a long day. Lol! I'm going to give Mummert a call first as I'd like the taller manifold, but if it's not available, I'm definitely gonna grab one of yours. I'm torn on which is a better option. Thank you again!

Hi Charlie,

Just wondering if you still have that Mummert aluminum intake available?  I'm getting ready to build a stroker and am contemplating the aluminum vs the ECZ 9425 B manifold I have.  I'm in Jamestown, NY, but wouldn't mind taking a drive to Syracuse.  My daughter goes to school in Cortland.

Thanks,
Soffian

Mattsy: Which choice for the intake may depend on your use..if you live in the northern latitudes or intend to drive outside of summer months, a Blue Thunder may be your best choice, as it has a crossover for some under carb heat, other wise it's open, possibly dependent on shipping costs..

NY59F-  Depending on your budget or since you already have a "B" intake on hand, it's possible to alter it to perform somewhat better than stock.
As described & covered pretty well by Doug Thrasher, in Y-Block Magazine, issue 140 of 2017.  If you don't get the  magazine, you could                write to it at PO Box 1005 Ottawa Illinois 61350, send $8.00 & request that issue as a sample.  To do the work U need a Die Grinder & a                small cut off wheel & grind stones or rotary burrs..  A couple of afternoons work should cover it.. Just a thought & it will look original..

Paul,

Thanks for the idea.  I'm not too worried about originality.  I've already milled the intake and cut it so it's a dual plane with some help from Ted.  I didn't know anything about porting it for better flow.  I'll see if I can get my hands on that issue of Y-block magazine.

Thanks,
soffian
