INSTALLING THE GENERATOR I DONT SEE A BELT TENSION "BRACE".  I DONT REMEMBER TAKING ONE OFF WHEN I REMOVED THE GENERATOR.  THERE IS A SMALL ANGLE BAR THAT ATTACHES FROM THE WATER PUMP TO THE GENERATOR MOUNTING BRACKET BUT I BELIEVE IT IS AN ADDITIONAL SUPPORT BRACKET FOR THE MAIN MOUNTING BRACKET.  MY QUESTION IS "WHAT HELPS TO KEEP THE TENSION ON THE FAN BELT?  THANKS, CHARLIE

There should be a slotted adjustment bracket from the bottom of the generator to a timing case cover bolt. The brace is 8 to 10 inches long and slotted about half it's length.

You are right that the triangle bracket is part of the top mount along with the bracket that bolts to the side of the block

I found the slotted brace for the belt tensioner.  I live a few miles from Ecklers and they have Ford parts.  Also my 55 Tbird shop manual shows it.  Thanks.  Someone who owed the Tbird,  before me "lost" it.  Charlie
