White wire w/red tracer looks to be coming out of factory harness into engine bay. From there it looks not factory black wire to coil. Tried to find diagram on internet showing color codes no luck. Tried to find under dash, to fat, bifocal and old joints have not been able to find it. I thinking maybe to ignition but no luck finding. So I am asking if someone knows as every question I have put out here has been answered by you all. For that I say you all are GREAT. So before I pass out upside down, help.

Does your oil pressure light work? It could be the oil pressure sender wire.

I don't know what vehicle you're talking about; but, if it's a 1955 auto (not T-bird), that wire IS the oil pressure switch connection for the idiot light - I just worked on mine - so, that's a fact.

john and Bergman are correct. There is another white/red wire that attaches to it that goes to the oil pressure sender

My 56 wire chart and car has red/whits to the oil pressure sender. If you have an overdrive car one also goes between the coil and relay.
