Trying to remove the Distributor Drive Gear and Collar to install Shims to get Shaft vertical Freeplay within Specs. Currently have .060 when Specs call for .022-.030. I have the Pins out but the Gear won't come off. Used Propane Torch to heat it up. Still won't Budge. Any Ideas? I didn't think these were pressed on.

If that tight it needs to be pulled/pressed. Your SHOP MANUAL describes the procedure.

Ditto on the press.  Never had one of those distributor gears just slip on and off.  I’d be worried if it did.

OK Thanks. I guess that's another Reason to avoid the Cardone Exchange Units. I did the same thing to One of theirs Years ago when vertical Free Play exceeded .100. The Gear fell off in my Hand Once the Pin was removed. This One I have now is an original "FEH" 1957 Distributor. The Free Play is excessive but the Gear is really on there tight.
