I just did this exact thing (same exact manifold and carburetor combination) a couple of months ago: The secondaries are a bit large for the manifold holes, and will bind/not work.  I used a 1/2" bakelite spacer that I slightly modified by "funneling"/tapering  (using a half-round file & smoothing with emery cloth) the secondary holes (bigger on carb side) to match carb secondary "holes", accommodate the secondary throttle plates, and match the manifold "holes".  Works just fine.

It fits.  As long as the throttle blades don't bind, a spacer (or other modifications) is not necessary.  But a spacer usually does help with low end power and insulating the carb.  If you have the  room and money, use a spacer.

                Hi.
Will my Edelbrock 4 barrel carb (1405) fit this intake? Or will i need an adaptor?

Do i need a Carb Spacer?
