I'm glad that we're running okay again.
I was not able to navigate the site to do anything.
Thanks to all who keep us workable. Appreciated!

Many sites have new members having to wait for administrator approval before becoming full fledged ‘posting’ members. In lieu of doing this on the YBF forum, no authorization is required and new members can post right away. If the problem gets bad enough, the YBF forums will divert new member requests to the appropriate moderator/administrator for approval. The problem with this is someone will have to be in the background always watching for new member requests and then vetting those requests. Just takes time.

What is different about this site? I'm on other forums that do not have this problem. Maybe its something that can be changed to prevent this in the future.

These Guys need to get a Life. Between the Porn and the Hackers well We seem to have become a Target. I guess there is no way to differentiate between legitimate "join" Requests and Spammers. Too bad.

Looks like we have been hit by the DOS spammers, they bring a site to it's knees by hitting it with multiple join requests (I mean 1000's per hour) leaving the server little time to answer ligitmate requests
Glad it's fixed, Sure misssed it.
