After 4 months, my new motor is back in the TBird. Fired right up with no issues and no leaks.  This motor is a .060 over 292 with "G" heads and rockers, 57 Ford "D" code intake, carb and distributor.  Cam is a Isky 301333 with the center grove cut to .030.  We took this video with my phone, so it's blurry.   Love the way this cam sounds.  Straight pipes.   https://youtu.be/6Vd_UumiStw

Well done, my kind of music. If you decide to change to the Pertronix coil and eliminate the ballast resistor in the future get the epoxy filled coil if you want to leave it mounted on the engine..

I thought it might be helpful if I posted some feedback on this camshaft.  The Isky 301333 camshaft is a nice street camshaft for those who want a little more of a racy idle without killing the bottom end.  It's not a lope monster by any means.  My car idles about 900 RPM with a manual transmission.  The car pulls strong from just over idle to 5,500 RPM.  The cam degreed right on spec, so I left it straight up.  The factory says it will work with an automatic.  The guy next to you will definitely know it's not a stock cam.  It's a little like a stock 427 Ford cam with the solid lifters clicking away.  Very drivable.

Sounds good.  900rpm seems high for those specs.  My cam is similar I set it between 700 and 750rpm.
