If I remember correctly from when I did mine there are several steps. Remove Steering Wheel. Unhook Wiring from Steering Column for Signals. Take the Bolts out that hold the Column to Dash. Disconnect any Wiring under the Hood that comes out of steering Column. Disconnect Steering Linkage either by pulling Pitman arm off the Box or the Ball Stud from Center Link depending on if You have power or Manual Steering. If You pull the Pitman arm off make sure you count the number of revolutions the Steering Wheel turns from One Side back to Center so You know where the Pitman arm goes back on. It will go back on in several positions. I thought is was only One Position and I did not take Note of where the Sector  Shaft from Box needed to be. Unbolt Box from Frame. It comes out by lifting  straight up and then Slide out from Steering Column Housing.  You need to remove the Roll Pin(s) that holds Shifter Arm (s) to shift Tube also. depending on if its Automatic or Standard there could be more than one.  I believe that is everything.
