I am using a Roll Master Double roller timing chain in my new motor.  When I installed it and turned the engine over by hand, I noticed the chain made a tiny clicking noise when the chain and gear meshed.  It went away after a while.  When I tighten down he crankshaft balancer, the tiny noise returned.  The chain is tight and the cam degreed perfectly. The front cover is on the engine now.  Should I worry about this?

I've had that happen on a few different engines and I think it just takes a few rotations for the chain to center it's self on the gears. If it doesn't go away after that I would worry. I soak my chains in oil for a day before installing then pour oil on it again after installing..

Did you check that both gears were running parallel to each other?  If crooked or not straight in alignment with each other, the chain can make some noise.

Yes I did and they looked to be inline.   I pored oil on the chain and the noise seemed to go away.  I have the heads on now and the valves adjusted. I can't feel or hear anything strange when I turn the engine over by hand.
