I inadvertently closed my hood and it latched on the passenger side but not on the driver side corner. I pulled the hood cable and it came right out of the housing. Now you guessed my next question. HOW DO I GET THE HOOD OPENED. Fortunately I did not latch the drivers side corner, so I can raise that corner a few inches. Has someone got any ideas how to get it unlatched (remember, its the passenger side that is latched)...Thanks as always.

You need to raise the car and access/trip the hood latch from underneath. They sell a special tool for that (Casco), but I understand a cutoff broom handle will work. When you fix/replace the latch cable, you might consider rigging a backup emergency wire/loop, just in case.

That was my thought about the broom handle since that the driver side corner did not latch I can reach the hook where the cable attaches. I will "McGiver" a back up mechanism.
Thanks.

The broom pushed against the latch bar, popped it open. Thanks
