I have heard of a rear main seal that Chrysler makes that will fit a 292 ford v8 any info on this

When there weren't rubber seals available, a Chrysler seal was modified to fit. Since they are available now, there is no need for that.

A trimmed Mo-Par 318 rear seal works great in a 312 not 292. I Put one in mine...no leaks and much less expensive! DYI.
