The number should be stamped on the side of the right frame rail straight down from the heater box.  

Hello.
Somebody here might know where is stamped the body or chassis ID number?
I dont mean the ID tag on door pillar, the chassis number is what local inspector wants to see every year.
I have owned the car 19 years and every year is same struggle when inspector is looking that number ten minutes and say that must be restamped on next year.
Car is 1959 Fairlane 500 Galaxie club sedan 2d.
