Trying to find out if a 292 ford engine in a 55 crown vic. has a spacer plate between the automatic transmission bell housing and the engine block? It's been a while since I pulled the engine out so can't remember. As usual I have parts scattered so can't find it if it had one.

Thank God!!! Thank you for you response, the info is greatly appreciated. I thought I had lost my mind. I have looked everywhere for something that does not exist. I am 70 years old so that may explain why my memory is so bad. Again-Thank you for your response. I am trying to restore this 55 crown vic for my wife. I have a 66 fastback mustang, 289 factory four speed for my hobby. I do love the old y block fords, especially the crown vics !
