Hi!
I'm looking for recommendations for good flex-plate sources for my 1955 Y.
Already looked for "search" & couldn't find - what am I doing wrong?
Thanks, JB

O. K., I got the new one-piece flex-plate from "Larry's": No instructions.  What side of the plate do the spacer shims (3) go on crank flange, or converter side?  And (maybe "stupid", but I don't have the old one out yet) which way does the flex plate face - indents toward engine or converter?  Or, is it "self-explanitory" once apart?  I have the '55 "air-cooled" converter setup and have never changed one out - "Larry's" website says that the new one "also works on the air-cooled" converter.

Thanks, JLB

The Shims go on the side facing away from the Engine ( Convertor Side). They are to be used to space the mounting Bolts away from the Block so You don't end up with Bolts catching on the Block. I asked the same Question from Macs because there are No Instructions as You know. Should be some Instructions provided. It will only go on One Way.
Using a 57 Flexplate is not really the Answer as they are hard to come by. This replacement Flexplate eliminates the problem with the originals "Ears" comming loose.
