Anybody have any pictures from underneath the car?  I am going with a custom oil pan, and looking at clearances.  Trying to see if I can run a wider sump / t-sump pan to pick up some extra capacity.

Thanks
Paul

If no one posts something, give it a bump on Monday. I should have my bird with the FPA’s on the hoist then, and I can shoot some pictures with a tape measure under there.

Here are pictures of the FPA headers on the dyno.  Not quite the right picture angle for determining the clearance to the oil pan but could help until you get pictures showing more detail.

Got a break today. It’s not obvious, because you can’t see the ruler very well. 4.5” on passenger side, 4.25 to the inner upper tube on the drivers. Couldn’t get a decent angle for height. Hope this helps.

Perfect, that is exactly what I needed!!  Nice looking rack and pinion setup.  Do you like it?  If so, who makes it?

Thanks a ton

It’s a Cavalier rack, custom center and heim joints out to the steering arms. All safety wired. No bump steer, but I wouldn’t do it again. The faster ratio really didn’t justify the expense for a proper installation. I had a rebuilt 3 sector box out of a 57. Live and learn.

Thanks, Jim. I enjoy it a lot. Got the a/c charged, the soft top adjusted properly, and it’s ready to go for the Friday night cruise in.
