Has anyone tried running any of the autolite 2100 carbs off ebay that are made by rally and such?  If so are they any good?  I need a cheap carb for a motor for temp use.

Can you provide a link?  A quick search doesn’t bring up ‘Rally’.

Definitely made in China for that price.

China was obvious when I looked at them.  I would rather buy a holley 2300 right now but I am on a limited income since I just retired and I am waiting on the VA to pull their heads out of their rears and finally send me disabilty pay.  I am just curious if someone has ever ran these china carbs.  I have an old holley R-7454 that is ready to go but finding the right adapter to go from a spread bore base to the ecz-9425-a intake.  I am waiting on spring so I can get the slab poured for my shop and until I get my shop up I don't have access to my mill to just make an adapter.  I normally won't buy a used carb even for rebuild because you never know what the previous owner did to them.

Well if I buy one I will let you all know the build quality. Everything that I can find is assembled in Mexico with parts made parts from who knows where.

That is some really nasty looking pot metal. I'd rather pay twice the price for a real one that will last. I wouldn't trust one on my lawn mower.

How much do you want to lose?  450 if the carb is bad (150 for the clone plus 300 (or more) for a real replacement).  Yes, it may work out but based on the reviews.  I would stay away. Good reviews are known to be made by those who have a vested interest in the sale of the product, not an independent third party.

Why not look on Craigslist?   I bet you can find carbs all day long.   Might get a free engine with it!!

Just my opinion, for what it may be worth. Buy a USED 2100 and a NEW KIT. This is the easiest carb to rekit that I can think of. Clean it really well and blow out all the passages and you are good to go. Pete
